Hi there Steven ! Please allow me to share some of my problem we're facing here with you. Here are a few points that I suggest you should check on your current process:- (1)PCB - Component land partern design ? It is per IPC spec ? - Mask

You might wanna try a small reduction in your stencil aperture. For example, for a 30-mil pad go 26-mil square aperture with 8 to 10-mil radius on your corners. Also, look at your designs. Is there enough resist between your pad and ball? Another

What pitch IC? Perhaps a nickel stencil will work. Are your board FR4? Warping the board could play a major factor in solder shorting.

What is the part designator? A lot has to do with that. Also, is this a double sided reflow board. Perhaps you need to change your process to accept two heat cycles simultaneously. Solder thieves should work. Check the archives.

Hi all, * Defect : termial to terminal touching btw two melfs body that created short circuit. * Clearance : 0.8mm btw two melfs body. * Size melf : diameter=2.4mm to 2.7mm, length=4.8mm to 5.2mm * Stencil opening : "v" shaped to minimise component

We had alot of problem with melf diode short together after reflow soldering. The clearance is about 0.8mm & we used "v" shaped opening . PLease comment !

Help us understand your situation by telling us about: * Is this a terminal-to-terminal short on a single MELF? Or is this a terminal-to-terminal short between or than one MELF? * Clearance of 0.8mm is the distance between what features? * Size ME

A common bottomside heater configuration is IR-Convection-Convection. One of the big advantages of the IR zone is its ability to allow the flux carrier to spread and dry slowly before the board reaches the convections zones, which can blow wet flux c
