This is our first experience with running embedded flexs. Our board supplier suggested that we prebake our assemblies before placing components. What does everyone else do? Is prebaking normal when a flex is embedded?

Yes, embedded components. They can build decoupling capacitors and terminating resistors into layers of the PC board, and print them very much like copper layers. Jon

The best method of cleaning misprinted boards is with a stencil cleaner. I would not recommend the use of a spray-in-air system for misprints. Spray systems can cause solder paste to become embedded into vias and under components (if double sided).
