Curtiss-Wright uses MIL-I-46058 at present. Any suggestions on how to approach engineering and update the drawings for new contracts?

Thanks for the info Sarason. The UVCL is a Urethane. Did not want that hard of finish (for solder rework issues). We like the Acrylic as acetone will remove cured material for solder rework.

We're looking to add conformal coating to some of our pcb's which range from 2x2" to around 6x6". I would like to use a coating material that is not nasty smelling requiring ventilation or filtration if possible. Are there conformal materials that ar

Dow Corning 3-1953 is widely used when it comes to silicone based conformal coatings. Low odor, medium viscosity, can be atomized or needle dispensed. We have our operators fill syringe cartridges for any minor touch up.

Thanks, I'll give that a try!

We tried both of these suggestions and the 3-1953 is less viscous than the 3-1944 so it will flow better on the board for our conformal coating application. What cleaning solvent is recommended for cleaning off the auger parts, etc.? I haven't been

Thanks, we'll try this too. We aquired an asymtek millenium for dispensing selectively. It is setup for epoxies with a needle dispense head so we'll try to make it all work for us. One-part silicones seem to be the popular solution.

Great, that is encouraging. I did order a few needle sizes from McMaster to try out when we get the machine setup. What do you recommend for clean up the equipment?
