Electronics Forum | Fri May 27 05:16:28 EDT 2011 | aj

Hi, There are quite a few suppliers so you could have a lot of work on your hands trying them all. Do a bit of research finding out what paste all the big guns use? they spend a fortune doing evaluations etc But you should get at least 3 different

Flux not foaming

Electronics Forum | Wed Sep 21 14:43:50 EDT 2011 | russw

The confusing thing is we are doing the same thing we've been doing for years, same flux levels, same procedures, etc. so you would expect the same results. The only difference is the new bottle of 951, but Kester insists there isn't a problem with

YesTech doubling lens installation

An extraction system is not a good comparison. The extractor itself is not where they make their money. It’s off of the consumables filters etc. Aois and other larger capital equipment there is no other income stream after the sale other than a few p

Are you sure that you are getting adequate nitrogen flow up through the cap? If your pump isn't seated properly, you may have nitrogen escaping. Also, I have two different height nitrogen bases. The shorter one does not allow as much gas to escape

Conformal Coating

Electronics Forum | Tue Nov 15 22:32:07 EST 2011 | doncattoni

Hello Austin, Have you tried to preheat the board or the contact area? Many times with the heat cured materials it will start the cure process and slow the flow of the material. Our Protect-R-Shield silicone product was formulated to be a much thi

Hello Austin, Sorry for the delayed response. There are different types of cures for conformal coating such as RTV which stands for Room Temperature Vulcanising which means they are cured by the humidity in the air. This type of cure does not need

fixed barcode scanners

Currently, we are using fixed barcode scanners that connect to Cogiscan PFC box. The scanners are mounted using a flexible arm. The flexible arm is hard to adjust so that the scanner will be on top of the label every time it hits the sensor. I'm look

BGA re-reflow

Electronics Forum | Sat Dec 24 19:39:43 EST 2011 | dontfeedphils

I've reflowed many different size BGA's in an effort to better the connection and to help the board pass functional test. Using a middle of the road liquid flux and a convection spot rework machine and almost every time I would reflow a failed board

Quad IVc Feeder Base Electrical

Electronics Forum | Thu Jan 19 12:16:46 EST 2012 | leemeyer

I read back through your post. It seems that you do not have bases that belong with the 4C machine. I think that you have bases for Q series machines. That would explain why the connectors don't fit. You say that there are blocks on the feeder base.

choices for SN100C for reflow

Electronics Forum | Thu Jan 19 16:38:39 EST 2012 | dyoungquist

We are not using SN100C in our reflow process but I know the type of flux made a big difference with our SAC305 solder. We started out using no-clean flux in our SAC305 paste and were having some issues. We then switched over to a water soluble flu
