Can you make a clone of your corrupted HDD? Get a new HDD, I think any HDD with the correct connections is ok. Restore the clone to the new HDD. You can't lose anything if you try..

I have a KE2050RL which I just started (second hand) and the machine goes in operator mode by default. Any idea how to reset the password for Manager level ? can be reset from service level? is there a service default password? Thanks, Aurash

You can still restore the data from a failed HDD like this. There a HHD recovery companies that will take the platters out and place them in another drive to extract the data. ALso on Youtube you can find Louis Rossmann in NYC that does these repairs

Sarason - I can do that (did before) but you need an exact HDD model for the transplant which challenging to find (10 Years old) - but I appreciate your answer. I got an old HDD (from another machine) and made a mirror on a brand new one and fitted
