Re: Delmat mechanical properties

James: I believe Delmat is a proprietary product. Check with some of the solder fixture fabricators in the archives. Continuing, I would not select knowingly Delmat as a board stiffener. It's a composite material similar to oriented strand board

PCB bent due to mechanical force

Electronics Forum | Fri May 31 12:28:45 EDT 2019 | slthomas

You really need to define what you mean when you say "bend" and when you say "break". You might have zero damage to a bare board but cracked solder joints and ceramic caps on an assembly, given the same amount of bending or stress. It all depends on

| | | Has anyone done or seen any studies done documenting what may be the affect of hardware such as screws in the parimeter vicinity of BGAs on a circuit board? | | | | | | What I'm really after is anything describing how close a screw/washer/nut

Electro-mechanical assembly specification?

Electronics Forum | Tue Aug 26 13:28:50 EDT 2008 | qaman

I am new to the board so be gentle with me. There are standards such as IPC-610 for PCB assembly, IPC-600 for bare boards, etc. Is there a "standard" for electro-mechanical assembly? Is there an IPC standard or any other industry approved standard

printed circuit board assembly

Electronics Forum | Sun Aug 05 01:31:08 EDT 2012 | dws123

printed circuit board assembly used to mechanically support and electrically connect electronic components using conductive pathways.it is a electronic device made by copper.it is a cheaper and useful .so we used in electronic devices.

assembly with/without TH components

Electronics Forum | Tue Jan 09 15:26:49 EST 2018 | emeto

The truth is that TH will give you better mechanical stability. If it is a part where you risk strip off the pads of SMT connector, don't make this transition to SMT. If it is a one time cable plug there and there will be not too much pressure, go fo

assembly with/without TH components

Thanks to all for your quick answers. I will do a prototype to test mechanical stability on USB-A, SMT version and will decide the next steps for there. Best Regards.

| | Dear all | | Please help me to know what kind of tests usually done after SMT Pick & place and reflow oven. | | Our appliocation is Mainly fabrication of mother boards. | | Thanks | | | In theory, ICT is the classical answer (In-Circuit Test).
