I used to work with Chris. (neither of us are there anymore). What is he talking about is putting components into "pockets". The parts would come in, in sticks (tubes) but we wanted them in reels. At first we sent them out to be reeled, but that w

Tape and Reel Flatness?

Electronics Forum | Mon Nov 26 16:07:56 EST 2012 | jerlong

Greetings, Does anyone know where to find a tape and reel flatness specification? Looking at the EIA 481-B standard, there is no reference to the tape flatness (the images shown may "imply" flatness from one side of the tape to the other, However I

Electronics Forum | Fri Jul 07 03:27:31 EDT 2006 | dougs

Hi folks, thanks for all the tips. We have run our first batch of these flexi boards now. I had the PCB suppliers make me some 1.6mm FR4 carriers to lay the boards on to carry them through the process. (1 flat & 1 with cutouts for the second side)

Electronics Forum | Mon Jun 12 17:32:17 EDT 2006 | flipit

Hi, A little off subject but I just finished a quick little experiment where I placed 0201 to 1206 and some ceramic resonators at specific distances off the scored edge. The distances from scored edge ranged from 0.025" on up at 0.025" increments.

Via holes and Wave Solder

Electronics Forum | Tue Mar 07 08:48:55 EST 2006 | samir

Nitrogen gas and Tombstone defect

Electronics Forum | Tue Nov 29 14:57:45 EST 2011 | jlawson
