CP-642 specific part missing/inconsistent

Electronics Forum | Tue May 19 12:09:08 EDT 2020 | greezmky

Thank you all that contributed to the troubleshooting! I measured the height of 10+ parts with calipers and found the average to be around 2.15mm. In the program height was set to 2.42mm. I reduced the height to 2.15mm. I have since ran 561 boards

The squish is determined by the spring in the nozzle. If Z0 or table level is out, you would see it on more than one component..most likely Make sure board thickness and component height are correct. Also make sure you have board support installe

Thank you Stefan for your help! our machine is hs50.you are right we means components are not placed on board.we can found the part around the loctation.i found bearing is dirty.i clean it with threebond.it can work well. but i want to know the rootc

Being new to the industry, the question is how much squish should I see once the part is pushed into the paste? Is there a recommended offset to create the perfect impression in the paste? I did notice yesterday that the height called out in the pro

I thought i posted this last night. The easiest way I can think of to see what nozzle is being used is to put the machine in step mode and do one part at a time. Also the levelness of the table and Z0 could be suspect. On a CP643 this can get out

Fillet height of SMT chip capacitor

You could use a stepped stencil around the parts you're having issues with to add a greater paste deposit to them and not the rest, or slightly elongate the apertures and overprint, but this may lead to solder balling.

In addition to robl's suggestions, I would look at the footprint on the board to make sure it meets the recommended dimensions. Abnormal layouts, particularly when pads extend under the component too far, can be problematic both by lifting the part

SMT Design: Package distance and stand-off height

Electronics Forum | Wed Nov 12 04:34:17 EST 2008 | kywl

Hi all, Assuming that i were to design a PCB and there are multiple components, what is the minimum spacing required to ensure that i won't have problems in my SMT process later on? Also, is there a minimum component stand-off height spec as well?

Quad 4C part placement rejection

Electronics Forum | Thu Nov 17 05:11:09 EST 2011 | bobpan

wow.....lets try some more things....... first....i think quad align error 0 has something to do with the theta number not being at 0,6000,12000,18000. I am not for sure about that but check it out by doing a function 3 on your pickups. second.....

A couple of things i would try: 1. Does function 30 give you a nozzle height that is repeatable. The number should be around 200.....+/- 20 or so. 2. I would change the z-rod because the spring could be worn out and when the vacuum turns on....it ca
