I'm investigating heat transfer by 1st order approximation between PCB and ambient air via encapsulate material (epoxy or gel or silicone), they have thermal conductivity of 0.2W/C but it hard to find specific heat capacity and density. Has anyone

Can anyone advice me on the effect of SN100C wave solder on SAC305 hasl board? I suppose the silver content on the hasl pcb would leech(contaminate) into solder pot.? Would it affect the surface bonding between copper pad and the solder.?

I have a customer wanting to hide the identity of a particular component on a PCB assembly. The product cannot be potted and since the PCB is the product he doesn't want to pour over that one chip for aesthetics reasons. Any ideas on ways to permanen

If the gold fingers are pad types which plug into expansion slot connectors, I have used a titanium guard attached to the wave conveyor over the solder pot, which allows the PCB to connect to the fingers but masks the solder from the gold pads along

I have waved gold (ENIG) boards. That's a pretty hot pot at 260C, wow. I have used 245C with good results. All other parameters look OK a glance. Well, PCB temp looks a little hot too at 130C before pot. 90-100C is typical for most No-Clean flux. At

Hi, Does any body have the experience with wave soldering a "Gold" plated PCB with SMD assembled on it? I`m experiencing massive bridging, icicles,Shadowing & Skipping. The present soldering angle is 6 deg:,pre heating rate is 2 deg/sec , Dwell time

I am using a Novastar 12S solder wave with Kester water soluable fux 22-2425. I have used this for years without problems on an old Hollis machine. Just started using the Novastar and after fine tuning I get itermitten bridging on the front of the P
