I have seen in the last couple of months more boards with a white hazing under the solder mask. I ran a few tests on a board to determine the cause of the white hazing underneath the solder mask. First I confirmed, or at least I think I confirmed, t

Does anyone have any experience with soldering 50mil pitch BGA's that have a via in the pad, the size is .012 The via will be masked off on the bottom side of the board. Need to know what precautions or problems if any I might encounter. The process

Hi, All Our board design requires us to selectively plate some connector pads with gold. The problem is we have changed board houses and they charge a heafty amount to mask the rest of the board. One option is to allow them to plate the whole bo

Russ, We can not use a wave pallet, already went that route. We have parts next to the thru-hole pins and between thru-hole pins. I am going to try an experiment in the next day or so with solder mask. I plan to solder SMT parts on the back of se

| On various PCB's after building processes, such as reflow, flowsolder and wash. The soldermask on the PCB's have become discoloured, like a 'marble' effect all along the solder side of the board, it is lighter in contrast than normal, although when
