soldering irons for lead free

We use the JBC irons with and without the "leadfree" tips. We really have not noticed much difference between the standard and the lead free. The lead free tips do last a little longer but the tips are somewhat deformed by the extra plating. As f

Re: cartridge filter for lead

Hi Wade As Steve says - are you sure that the lead is in solution? Particulate lead like solder balls is much easier to remove. The answers are going to depend on total output in gallons, maximum flow required and what has to be removed. If you're

need IPC standards for lead free solder joint reliability tests

Electronics Forum | Thu Dec 09 17:45:27 EST 2004 | davef

You're correct. There is no criteria for no-lead, but there none for SnPb, either. Solder joint strength in pull/shear will vary with lead geometry, solder volume, lead metal/metallization, the way the test is done.
