How to Test a Wheel Speed Sensor?

Industry News | 2021-11-03 21:49:10.0

The wheel speed sensor is used to test the wheel speed of a car. For modern vehicles, wheel speed is essential. The vehicle dynamic control (VDC) system, vehicle electronic stability program (ESP), anti-lock braking system (ABS) all require wheel speed information. So the wheel speed sensor is one of the most critical sensors in modern society. Considering the actual factors such as the working environment and the size of the wheel, the electro-magnetic induction sensor and hall type wheel speed sensor are mainly used.

Pulse Electronics' ProxAnt TL 1.0 Package Combines a Proximity Sensor with an Antenna to Optimize both Functions

Industry News | 2015-12-16 18:26:09.0

Pulse Electronics Corporation introduces an all-in-one combination antenna and proximity sensor package to optimize the characteristics of both functions, thus enabling better device performance and increased design flexibility for tablets, laptops, and notebook computers. The ProxAnt TL 1.0 is a seven band main antenna, a proximity sensor chip, and all needed components included on the same flexible circuit board. Without requiring physical contact, the sensor recognizes when it is close to the user and sends a signal to the host processor to reduce the transmission power to the antenna, thus lowering SAR. The sensor also recognizes movement to avoid a false trigger.

Basics of Encoder and Orthogonal Coding

Industry News | 2021-12-19 20:18:34.0

Encoder is a kind of electromechanical equipment, which can be used to measure the movement of machinery or the target position of machinery. Most encoders use optical sensors to provide electrical signals in the form of pulse sequences, which can be converted into motion, direction or position information in turn.

How to Use a Rotary Encoder

Industry News | 2021-08-19 05:31:34.0

A rotary encoder converts the angular position or motion of a shaft or axle to analog or digital output signals, so it is also called a shaft encoder. Absolute encoder and incremental encoder are the two main types. Rotary encoders are applied widely, including situations which require monitoring or control, and mechanical systems. So how to use a rotary encoder?
