Hello ricardof, To implement Cpk studies on SMT production equipment, you will require highly accurate glass plates, glass component slugs, accurately manufactured stencils and a measurement system to perform X, Y and Theta positional deviations from

For the reflow process check out KIC THERMAL at kicthermal.com. They make a product called 24/7 which can collects data for process capability. I beta tested the unit about 2 years ago....interesting stuff.

There is a new third-party system that has been evaluated by and is now endorsed by Fuji. This system can not only interpret the data and supply Cp,Cpk and 3 Sigma values, but also make adjustments in the proper data together with documentation of r

I recently ran a process evaluation (Print/ P&P /Reflow) and was plesently surprised with a 5.0 sigma process or 250ppm. Attrition was under 1%. Keep in mind this is defects counted Post-reflow. The most signifficant defect was tombstoning / draw-

What kind of SMT equipment? Can U preform the Cpk study on the P&P to check your accuracy of your equipment? Otherwise, check noozle and any component jamp into the equipment. We did experience with chip jamp in the conveyor and can't hold the boa

We're in process of calculating Cp, Cpk for our CP machines. Does anyone know what we need to have to use Fuji PAM? Thanks Steve

you could do a capability analysis on the printer.....setup the printer with your print parameters and select a metric (say paste volume deposited) and find out Cp and Cpk values

Is this a new customer or an old one? That's quite a lot to ask if you're not accustomed to performing those analyses.

Go with the KIC 24/7 system. Does all your monitoring for you and generates your cpk. Only have to run a golden board once it takes care of the rest.
