We have 5 ovens that we use this oil on. Its like $23.00 per pint from the manufacturer. But they say you have to buy a case of 24. I just went ahead and bought it from Vitronics.

I had contacted the dummy component suppliers but they didn't have anything that would work. We designed a simple daisy-chain PCB and die for SPC and training purposes, and purchased large quantities.

Woody: Consider using test BGA with no chip in, but daisy chains that you can monitor. After soldering, run environmental tests and follow with electrical tests to determine if the product concept is good enough.

Woody, Daisy chain packages are definitely needed, but if you can get packages with a dummy chip inside these will provide a more accurate simulation of working components. If possible, continuous monitoring of resistance during the test will be

Daisy chained parts and impedence testing were my original reccomendation. Unfourtuantely I can not get the resources for this testing.

I don't think I would reduce the heat at all if there is no vibration in your oven or on the chain you should have no problem with them falling off or moving but you sure don't want a cold solder joint you no the solder joints are so easy to see go
