hi, we tried to introduce form-flex a few years back and it caused more problems than it fixed. Switched back to pins and no problems. It might have improved since but I would be reluctant to get them again unless I was given a 6 month trial!! aj

Jobbie, We are also not using the Mydata forks for the vibe feeders. We take a tube for the vibe component and cut a pick pocket. We use the back of the forks as stops. This has eliminated many of the pick problems from the vibes. Good Luck Chris

I use Alpha 857 W.S. for wave is that what you mean? If so, I love this stuff, it solders everything. one downside to it is convection (wave , rework) can dry it out and leave white hazes and even residues at the joints.

I have been using Alpha 856 for about 8 years. It is an excellent flux. Today we are using it in a new flow solder machine that has a spray fluxer and it seems to be working fine. I can be contacted at jlalicker@amitulsa.com

Ask the distributor (or coilcraft) what the termination material is & if they do alternative ones. These maybe from old stock. If you get no joy have a look at Epcos & Murata who both have wide ranges of surface mount inductors.

Thanks Rob. We've been in contact with Coilcraft, but haven't gotten anywhere, yet. We'll check out the other coils. We started using Coilcraft because of their high Q.

Hey folks, I was interested in any information that you might have on tombstone reduction when using a lead free solder and profile. Thanks for any input that you may have! -Russ #x
