Gridlok is good but it will also depends on your board. Board that is warpped and thick will not be flatten by gridlok as the concept for this support system is to conform to the shape of the underside of the board with very minimum upward force from

Hi, This is true if you are using the Grid-lok in the "full auto mode" which sets and resets for every pcb. Ohterwise you can teach the system a flat board (by various techniques) and it will maintain that profile throughout the product run. You sho

Depending on the volume, try making an aluminum pallet(s)with tooling pins to mount your boards on.

Solvent for a stencil printer

We tried Ionox BC in our MPM, but evidently a feed line came loose allowing the Ionox to spray, flood, whatever on the inside of the machine. The Ionox ate through some of the insulation on the wires. As long as it stayed in the plumbing, it worked

I would try it dry first, we have never used solvents in our SPM, AP-20 or UP2000. Wipe every 4 to 10 boards. Normally dont have to wipe when using epxoy.

I agree with dry wiping. We have 4 SPM's and 2 AP25's, we have never had a need for solvent. I would be cautious using alcohol/ or alcohol based solvents.

I have used MPM 3000 and Dek 265 Horizon. We always just fill them up with regular old alcohol. Cheapest and easiest way to maintain.

Solder Bursting

We are currently experiencing solder bursting in one of our smt reflow lines. Burst as small as 5mil diameter are messing gold fingers of the pcbs. Anybody who have experienced same problem? Would appreciate any suggestion.

What are your preheat rates? Try a slower ramp. A typical insurance policy is to kapton tape the gold card edge. If your problem persists, try baking the boards to drive the moisture out.
