Why not follow SAC305? you would do so for any other component finish wouldn't you? A component finish of pure Sn would also not call for a pure Sn profile, would it?

Yes, we are looking at using it for our solder paste. The customer mentioned wants us to test our boards and initially we've heard the SAC105 is better for "higher mechanical stressed" assemblies. Thanks for your reply!!

SAC 305 liquidus is 219 C. A hybrid profile is often recommended with a peak of 230 C (reflow the SAC and not kill the Pb parts) with an extended liquidus of 60-90 sec to get good alloy diffusion. Or if the design (parts & pwb) can tolerate it go P

Hi All My company is doing PCB assembly. To save cost, we change our wave solder bath from SnAg to SAC 305. What is the pros and cons for using SAC 305 solder? And,will affect to our quailty? Thanks in advance.

What is the different between SAC and LF Solder Alloys?I found out that LF38 is SAC105 and LF45 is SAC305. Is it because LF is some standard international name for particular country?

I believe SAC305 will result in a lesser amount of Ag3Sn inter-metallic compounds being formed along the joint boundary and in the sphere. Studies have been shown to point out a significant difference between the number and size of Ag3Sn plates in SA

thank you for the reply.....this reinforces the same info about SAC305 that i had reviewed in other papers. Since this is an inherent property of SAC305, i am assuming 1. Wave parameter (temp/time) tweaking will not mitigate this? 2. what is differ

I had a vendor change thier lead finish from tin/lead to a SAC305. We built up several assemblies before we realized the change. The reflow process is a standard leaded profile peaking at 220 C. What are the reliablity concerns with mixing the tin/l

I was wondering if someone could tell me the steps they went through to convert a SAC305 Wave Solder pot over to SN100C. I'm having wave solder problems with SAC305 and I'm considering a change to SN100C. Didn't know if it was a -in replacement or

I run two different waves here one with SAC305 with aqueous flux the other with SN100C and No clean flux. Does anyone see any issues with running product through either machine of course after changing the Flux type? I also only use SAC305 alloy for
