we have 3 Rad 8's and never use the verifer cause its too bloody slow.Why bother u cant verify parts being placed on a chip shooter so if your operator takes the same care when loading a reel there should be no need to verify.

I forgot to mention the new vcd and radials go for around $230,000 each with only 20 stations. You can buy nice used vcd8 and rad8's between $60,000-$75,000.

We have a RAD5 and RAD 8, both of which have the Expanded Range Verifier. Has anyone had success verifying the correct value of electrolytic caps? Our machine stops several times a day for a false failure, and Universal isn't much help. Thanks John

UIC still manufacturers new thru-hole machines. Both axial and radial insertion models are available. They stopped making the multi-mod dip inserters in '91 or '92. And parts are easily acquired for any older models, there were a ton of machines out

Would you happen to have the Jig used to check that the component itself is in spec with UIC's general specifications? 1.) Component in spec. 2.) Correct 2.5mm pusher on the feeder / dispense head. Also set the conditioner guide where the comp enter
