I would suggest EuroPlacer equipment. We are a High mix Co and went through a studt of which P & P equipment to buy. It came down to Mydata and EuroPlacer. Hands down , bang for the buck and feeder capacity wise , Euro won. We now have 5 machines in

Our experience has been similar to yours. Not the best placements rates for 0603 caps. I can't tell you an exact reject rate on our machines. We program them as leaded components which seems to help a lot. Also, not using gang picks is best. You

Yes, we have the 'up rated' lantern camera. I'll try programing them as leaded parts, can't remember if I tried that. Naming the feeders slot specific sounds like a mammoth task! Although its an idea that I haven't thought of, and sounds like a good

You have already come up with what I consider the industry standard fix. Attach your weight to one of those heavy duty black paper clips and it is pretty easy to move it up as the tape runs onto the floor. I know of a lot of people doing this. Not aw

Bert, The original IP feeders do a poor job of peeling the cover tape. Things to check: -All teeth present on the take-up reel -Take-up reel has even drag as it rotates (reel out of round or dirty) -Take-up reel drag is not too high (locations and

I have seen 0402 inductors that look identical to 0402 caps, come in embossed reels, but the pitch on the tape was 4mm. Im not saying they dont exist, but i have never seen an 0402 component come in an embossed tape with a pitch of 2mm. everything i

Hi, anyone in the UK using RAMTIFFs on their GSMs? we're having a clearout and have 2 spare, free to a good home. Also got 4 GSM feeder changeover/test trolleys - free as above. Rather they went to someone who is going to use them, than some one wh

Just to comment on the quad equipment side......The QSA-30 is also obsolete but you can use the same feeders on it as the 4c. The setup time would be the same but the speed is quicker (i think around 10k cph). If I were in your shoes....i think i wou

Rip, When you say you are looking at Universal, I assume you mean the AdVantis AC-30L? Why go with another aging chipshooter like the 4796 or CP6, when the AC-30L can supply higher throughput, similar # of feeder inputs, larger component range,
