Our present lab went "South." We need a lab that can do temperature/humidity conditioing, convection oven baking, C-Mode Scanning Acoustical Microscopic package inspection and "No-Pb" reflow simulation. We are evaluating a low temperature package dry

If the tombstoning is thermal (occuring during reflow) then try slightly reducing the stencil apertures so there is less the paste on the pads, reducing the forces acting on the component. Also take a look at the cooldown profile & making it more

Well Im more of a wave guy but we had an employee in the engineering department, he's left the company but he used these setpoints on the ovens in ai. 180, 170, 170, 190, 200, 225, 225 I heard they worke pretty well at those deltas

What I would suggest trying is to only use your bottom heaters in your oven. In this way the board will receive the majority of the heat and conduct the heat to the component. Since your components are small and your board is more then twice the stan

Good afternoon, Profile your oven. Try to increase soak zone as much as possible. This must equalize temperature across the board and leads to prevent wicking. Spike as slow as possible after long soak. Do you use tooling for this PWB in productio

Are there long lags between print and place, and place and reflow? Could your paste be losing some of it's tack?

FYI: This seems to be worse depending on the oven....I think it may have to do with the way the machine exhaust. I have used the Fuchs on our Omniflow and on our XPM's.(Pb Free profiles) The Omniflow stinks the whole shop up....the Vitronics do not s

We use Biral B10-30. It smokes and smells the first time the oven heats up after oiling the chain. What we do is open up the windows and turn on a floor fan so the smoke blows out.

An industry issue??? Sounds more like another ROHS issue to me. Experience tells us the LF flux leave much more residue inside the oven

So just to clarify.... If i bought a KIC 2000 I could run that one unit over both my waves and through both my ovens (leaded and lead-free)? Or would I need additional equipment to use it on the wave?
