The reason why we are using soldered PCB jumpers is that it is cheaper than dip-switches, 0 ohms resistors, etc. Field updating is also easier. We are producing different variants of some of our products. It would nice if we could presolder the PCB

Options that may help. Do you use a Vibratory Wave if so try reducing. The solder temperature shouldn't be to high. I would suggest 485F but is process dependant. Try slowing the preheat cycle this also may help. because this is variable I would try

Chris, I have worked with all kinds of Mydata's TP9,TP11,MY series machine for years. I have ran them, programmed them, and had just about every nut, bolt, motor, and circuit board out of them at one time or another.I have also written specialized mai

Marcos ,, We do place BGA in our HS180 but not that often , as we do run into some problems sometimes . We found out the best way for us ,, to turn outline on , and also paint the outside of the BGA with white pen and you won`t have any problems .

I have been asked to get a 4712B onserter running again and have a few questions; Does this make sense in terms of reliability and maintainability? Is the 4712B desigened as a standalone only machine? Also, I need documentation and software if anyone

The only time we had this problem was when the operator let the mount tool test position on the board be a mounting hole so the machine did not know where the board top was. You might want to check the mount tool position as a lot of PCB CAD people

Who did you buy this oven from? What is the model number? I bought a used Conceptronic oven last year...It ran great when I saw the demo. But, when is arrived at our factory we found someone pulled out some relays and it wouldn't heat. Hope you h

Your research is on track. NC flux needs to reach activation temperature. Also, do not depend on the corrosion characteristics associated with the flux classification (ie, L1, L0, M1, M0, etc.), until the flux is activated by exposure to soldering

Are there any formalized standards for the properties of solder balls? Example properties: sphericity uniformity(variance) of the ball size distribution surface roughness surface oxidation or other surface treatments/contaminants ?? As someone rela

I agree with Francois. We have just announced a 55 deg. C LTVP drying process that can greatly speed moisture removal. It is also effective for drying components that remain in tape and reel, conductive plastic shipping tubes or trays. Process time
