You should use deionized water and laboratory NaCl. Try a local college or high school for the NaCl. Otherwise, order it from a laboratory supply house [eg, Fisher Scientific, Spectrum Chemicals, etc].

your comments will be appreciated, please; IC tests have been performed on two kind of Raw PCBs (HASL) samples by adopting three different methods : First Sample (supllier A) - Omegameter 600 SMT, solvent=40C: extratcing time 10 min result = 0.2

| It seems to be that we have to much NaCl left on our assambled PCB's. | The flux we use is from cobar. They say it can not be from the flux... So what can be the reason, what kind of problem may occer when there is to much NaCl. | George, Are you

Water Quality Requirements to wash boards

We do cleanliness testing each morning using a Zero Ion tester. Our pass/fail number is set at 37ug/square inch NaCl. We are rarely above 10ug/square inch NaCl. We use Aqueous flux. Our inline washer has a prewash (70psi@130 degrees F), wash (?psi),

Contaminants after SMT which affect wire bonding

Hi all experts, I have no background about PCB or SMT process. I am now encountering some issues after SMT - Unstable stitch bonding condition. I am now suspecting some contaminants remain on lead after cleaning. Therefore, how can I check th

IPC-J-STD-001E in regards to Ionic Cleanliness standards states less than 1.56 µg/cm² of total NaCL. Assuming a typical electronic process which involves smt, wave, and post-hand soldering and uses NO-Clean flux throughout all process, is it typi
