Our experience with leaded paste and SAC305, for 0402's, has been positive with the following stencil designs: 1.- 5 mil thickness. 2.- Home plate design. Hope it helps.

solder SnPb wire to gold plated IC

Anyone experience using SnPb wire to gold plated ICs? I have tried to solder the SnPb wire to the gold plated ICs lead, but the surface finishing is dull. Can anyone explain that to me? Why it is not shinny surface? Any recommendation?

Now, they realized the problem of the current leadfree alloys. Is there any leadfree alloys finalized to use in future? Will it be a four elements alloys instead of current three elements alloys (eg SAC)?

I wonder if you could push this to exempt any board with SnPb paste applied to the entire board as long as it has fine pitch parts? hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I would hope that the committee is at least intelligent enough to insist that exemptions be based on the use of parts w/o coarse pitch equivalents, but we are somewhat evidence challenged in that respect.

wave has greenish hue. is this normal with SN100C

I would not really say green, but muddy, yes. It does not look like tin/lead dross. You should not see it on you solder joints though.
