I had 1 of the feeder connectors on the MFU develope a short which blew 3 IC's before I found it. Good Luck Jerry

Quick note on Hover Davis, I am not impressed with their Fuji IP feeders at all. They short out and blow IC's up in the MFU's They sell their own feeder set up stand to tell whether or not you have a shorted feeder. What the hell is up with that ?

Yep, we either use kapton tape or mask now depending on the application. It would be nice to be able to do it on a machine but the Hover-Davis label feeders are very expensive. May not be worth the cost for the volumes we run.

Our plant does not use an automated process, but I have done some research to the LPF Label Feeder by hover davis. It is for the Fuji IP, QP2, QP3, XP. Hope that will point you in some direction or get this thread started.

Hover Davis has two models of their label feeders. 1) Pre-printed labels 2) Print on demand.

Hover Davis makes a feeder for labels that works with many pick and place machines. Identco is a distributer for them and may be able to help with the material to.

Why do you say that MyData tech support is no > help? Because I was on the phone with them for more then an hour with no help. Tech support has no experience with this feeder. That is why I'm asking if anyone here does.

I re-purposed a Universal pick and place machine to place labels. Hover Davis sells label feeders for most smt platforms.
