Hi, Sorry to drag this thread up again, but we were recommended to change the wave to SAC305, but is everyone recommending SN100C? That seems to be the feeling on this thread. What flux is used? Regards, Grant

Hi everyone We plan to use on our smt line sac 305 and on our wave soldering sn100c. Will there be a compatibility problem if we do make touch up with sn100c on smt or touch up thru hole components with sac 305 ??? Thanks for taking time to reply

Muse, I agree. There has been much debate but the previous scenarios discussed in the forum have been regarding the SAC/RoHS BGA and Sn-Pb paste. I have successfully collapsed a SAC BGA with a Sn-Pb paste using the "hybrid" profile that Amol refers

Anyone know any international standard (e.g. IPC, JIS) for the SAC lead free solder strength ? If no, any industrial / company standard for it ? Besides, any mathematical model which can help to calculate it.... express in "Force / area "
