Roland, I thought the show was very worthwhile. My componany had its first booth there and the response was fantastic. I thought the show was very helpful for a lot of people with different interests.

what mfg paste are you having problems with. We went through a time that we had some similar paste problems and looked at a lot of different paste types.

CTE mismatch

Does anyone know where I can find good rule of thumb information on soldering/brazing. I am most interested learning the maximum recommended CTE mismatch between two different materials that thermally cycle between 25-100C.

I have just read that Hover-Davis now manufacture a direct die feeder which can feed directly from wafer to P & P machine compatible with a number of different placement machine manufacturers. Perhaps this will help? Best regards

We do one of two things here; 1. We have cut up a bar of solder to different lengths, wieghts, etc. and place them on top of the offendinding floater, or 2. On selective wave pallets we will build a jig/clamp to hold down the part.

If you have another container of flux that is a different batch try that. Dont forget to clear lines of old flux. check spray pattern width. The activators needed may be dead in flux.Since it is sudden my question would be what just changed?
