I don't see any requirement for a ferrule on the wire. As long as your insulation clearance is twice the insulation diameter or less and the insulation doesn't interfere with the solder joint, it should pass Class 3.

For connectors, we maintain a 0.05" clearance from components edge to the center of the V-groove score

I would check the clearance between the bottom guide and the carrier clip. Usually I set it .004 below the clop then set the head height .004 above the guide. It's a little tighter than UIC specs but it'll prevent the lead better.

Solder ball attached on solder joint without violation minimum electrical clearance is acceptable. If your process parameter including stencil not changed, suggest you check if solder pasted being pushed out after IC placement, also check if solder j

The main feature of the step on the stencil is the excess of paste on adjacent components. Clearance between step and fine pitch components must be at least 10 mm. Might better try over printing?

We used to use Titanium inserts when there wasn't much clearance between SMD and thru-hole leads. I don't recall how tight we could get though.

Generally we overprint on the exposed part of these pads. When there isn't enough clearance at the end of the pad we place solder preforms with the placement machine. Jerry

I have the rear panel off and I can see the Drive but there is very little clearance looking down or working. Where are the fuses located? We also had the breaker pop a few times on out main breaker before this happened.

Hi All I have a 0.7 mm diameter hole for vias, whats the minimum annular ring for this hole diameter? Whats the term unsupported and supported holes refer to in IPC-2221 9.1.2 Annular Ring Requirements? I have a proto-type PCB (designed by our R&

Hi guys; There are a few points that should be taken in to considerations regarding IPC-SM-782 land pattern and design rules. As a general rule all SMT reflow pattern should be in comply with SM-782 but however for special cases like : * PLCC land
