Does PTH design can affect the wave soldering process in term of increasing the incidence of solder bridges, even without a component being present?. I have been experiencing a situation weere I believe this is happening. In this case separation of P

Dave, On the SolderSaver, My business partner was given a demo on this thing back in 2000. He said: "It worked but had a tendency to kick up dross dust into the air, but it sure did separate the good solder from the dross." Pete

In reworking 0201, we: * Cut the 0201 in half with a side cutter * Heat the solder on each pad separately and flick the half 0201 off the board * Preheat a new component to +150°C with a hot plate * Solder a new 0201 on the undressed pads with a hot

what is the scenario? The more the solder joint the more capacitors are prone to mechanical stress or the lesser the more mechanical stress? what about uneven solder joint fillet? one side is 25% then other side is 75% or 100%? please put in your

Lead free solder does tend to resemble cold solder joints after processing. Generally, this is acceptable. The latest IPC 610 has pictures of acceptability of lead free solder joints, which you can use to compare to the joints that you are seeing o
