You proved that the standard solderability test of components may be effective for assessing aged components. Curious Minds Can you get the authorization to use a more aggressive flux? Will that flux solve the problem? What's it going to cost to qu

I agree, that is not a gullwing lead in the normal sense but that doesn't address the failure. The wetting looks fine unless there is a problem under the lead, which is hard to tell since there is an obvious fracture. That appears to be the edge o

I have design some PCBs but last time I met one problem they said missing the solder mask ...any one can give some suggestions why do some pcb manufacturers reject gerbers due to missing sodermask?

We switched to a REL0 T3 paste, Amtech LF-4300. It wets the castellations more consistently. I believe that in our case it was more of a plating wetting issue with the parts, but yours sounds more like a pcb finish or thermal issue. That larger pad

Hello, When I calculate based on the data you gave, your stencil aperture area compared to pad area is 94.52%. Your aperture area ratio is 1.76 using 5 mils thickness foil. OK, your stencil and your paste release is not the culprit here. Your proble

A solution that could placed on any machine is a first check that places a component in a fixed location and then the 2 pin component is read with a meter like a HP component measuring system. Similar for transistors and FETS. IC's are probably not s

we are obliged by customer specifications that there will be no glue despensing process on the production line.. also that the glue dispensing process is very complicated for this case .. we could have glue splash on top surface of pcb so that will

I am running a MYDATA MY19 machine.the problem is that the first 2 hours after turning on the machine it does not work throwing the following error: "transducers do not agree". After approximately 1 or 2 hours the machine starts working normally. T

We have the software and our PC has been running the machine for approx 10 years. I just don't know why all of a sudden it decided to have this problem. :( Also I have the software if you think I can reinstall from the diskettes. Will check, and ag

My experience with our process is that those parameters would result in a big bridging problem. I'm working with a stencil designer at our fabricator on an asymmetrical aperture design that hopefully balances forces enough to keep the parts centered.
