I believe NEA still sells new UP500's for around $45K. I think MPM dumped them all there and pays them as they sell. Is it worth looking at if the software is upgraded? I had the general opinion that the hardware was not so hot.

Does anyone else have problems with the frameless stencils on the MPM UP2500. I noticed after I do a stencil height adjustment it looks like the vacuum actually pulls the stencil to the board.

Ah...but if MPM didn't mark up their parts like they do then you would be still working for them as a field service guy....instead of remarketing parts and machines.

MPM/Speedline will sell you a complete set of manuals in hardcopy or CD. Cost is $500-$750. Since you bought the machine used and likely very cheap you should be able to afford that. Talk to your local rep. in HK.

Our MPM 2000 screen printer machine has a problem. During the machine reset mode a warning message come up "Z lockout not operating". Does anyone know what fault could cause this?

Is this a new machine to your facility? I have seen MPM UP3000's give error while homing if the transformers are not tapped exactly at the line voltage. Just a thought.

Any one familiar with a board clamp problem on MPM UP3000? The one I have will not clamp the board when program is running. It will work when toggled through the output diagnostics. Any help is appreciated.

sorry to say that the mpm's do not have the year on their tag's. Some of the newer ones do, but not the ap or up model's. They may have the year that they were re-manufactured, but not all of the ones that were remanufactured even have that tag. I

Well, there you have it. When deciding between MPM or DEK, you should choose..... Ekra! Wow, um, thanks for clearing the air on that one Tyrone.
