Why So Many Repeat Messages? | 24 July, 2001

Why are there so many repeated postings on SMTnet lately? The sheer volume of double and triple repeats is so great and spread across so many different authors that it's difficult to imagine attributing this problem to the spastics alone.

Dave, it does seem as though there are more than spastic hitting of the submit button can account for. We'll look into this and try to take steps to prevent repeats.

Ahem..... in my humble opinion, (whether it matters or not, depends on whether you are n'sync with me) I would be as so bold, to declare, the SMTnet server, keeps "handing" occasionally, during transmit of our respective thread postings....

sometimes, I hit "cancel", if the posting transmission bar, "hangs" after 1min in mid-air, I promptly re-hit "Post", and all is well.... or is it??? coz, after that, I visually see TWO exact same threads update, into the small nuclear group, of the on-hand topic....

Can something is done about this pls? and complete by when?

Why So Many Repeat Messages? | 26 July, 2001
