Q1. Does anyone have experience doing this? A1. Typically, assemblers cut and clinch components during the autoinsertion process. OR if manually inserted, cut and formed prior to insertion, so the component is snapped into place during assembly with the lead trimmed to the proper length. Q2. Is it possible to setup the clinch angle to provide the best chance at successful clipping? A2. Sure. Generally, those mass trimming clinch at a very slight angle Q3.
