Is Total Force setting necessary, and is it depend on the board thicknes? Is it making any different as far as printing goes? My boss have it set on 8.00 for all 4 MPM, and we are running different type of PCB everyday. Some of the boards thicknes is between 1.6 and 1.5mm.

Force is definetely necessary. It really doesn't have much to do with board thinckness, if everything is programmed correctly. It is just the downward pressure applied to the stencil during printing. You are supposed to adjust this depending on your squeegee lenght and type. 1 lb. per inch for metal blades, 2 to 3 lb. for polyurethane. Should also adjust this if paste is not all being wiped by blades.

Total Force is the weight on the squeegee blades. Generally you should set this by the length of blade you use. A 12 sgeegee blade would require a Total Force setting of 12 pounds. So, if you have 8 inch long squeegees, you should be OK.

Your board thickness could affect print if you use the incorrect thickness. But this should be pre-programmed into the machine when setting the job up.

Now if you don't use seperate set-ups for each job, and just unlock and relock different stencils in all day long, you should at least relevel the squeegee blades for each changeover. A lot of people think this is stupid, but no two stencils and board combos are ever exactly the same. It only takes minutes to relevel squeegees and use the "find board" option when doing so.
