Gloves for conformal coat masking

Gloves for conformal coat masking | 19 May, 2010

Our employees use a knit style ESD glove when masking boards to prevent oils. They snag alot and bend leads and cause other problems. I have tried dipped palm but they are bulky and dont offer "feel". I tried a silky type but they had a huge seam across the finger tips. I tried a rubber surgical glove but it doesn't slide along the tape well and their hands sweat. Does anyone know of a glove that is seamless, snag free, conforms to the hand, and will easily slide along tape. Any glove suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I tried these and the operators didn't like them. The palm dip didn't slide well on tape and the finger tips were a bit bulky.

Dang, you're picky. Try buying your operators mittens, and then tell them that your company has discovered that mittens generate less ESD so they're making them mandatory now. Then...after a few hours, bring them their gloves back and tell them that you went to bat for them and you got them to allow you to use these gloves instead. They'll be grateful that you went to bat for them, and will wear them happily. See? That's why they pay me the big bucks.
