Hello everyone. I am new to the forum so I am sorry if this has been asked before. Does anyone have any suggestions for counting partial reels and cut tape? We are a distributor and for our ecommerce PDC we keep having quantity issues. Currently, we are using reel counting machines from Manncorp but our associates still have issues getting the count right. Due to having hundreds of different materials it also defeats the pocket check function because they would have to reset the diode position for every order. We have considered x-ray machines but that seems more suited for cycle counting full inventory and not counting partial order quantities. I have also looked into getting count by weight or dimensions but both of these methods are not feasible for us. Are there any other ways to do this quickly? At the moment we are having everyone double check their order quantities, but errors still happen.

We use X-Ray for partials. It's at our other plant, but as far as I know they have no issues with count, quick too.

This is the model we have. The x-ray parts counter is from Optical Control and is a model OC-SCAN CCX.3 A.

+1 for x-ray. It's the only way to go.
