Hi Everyone !

On our endeavor to get reliable pick and placing with our "new" Quad IVc, we got weird behaviours of the QuadAlign system.

When we received the machine the glass of the laser side was cracked, so we removed it and it started working properly. We then wanted to replace the glass with some cover material, either plexiglass or glass. No luck here, no way to put a cover. Each time we would get a Z initialization failure.

It is like the CCD has not enough light anymore.. We opened everything and cleaned with isopropylic alcool, but no chance, it only works without protective glass on the laser side.

Any hints on how to put a cover back on that QuadAlign unit ?

the glass is to keep dust out. Now that it is off the dust is already in. Leave the glass off and just run it. If you have a problem 6 months down the road then take dry air and blow it out.
