Probably the most important recent event has been the acquisition of International Flexible Technologies by Scheldahl,whose strength in flexible materials will have a major growth impact for flexible circuits--already growing nicely.Also,continuing advances in high density flex circuits will expand markets for small portable electronic devices and for other high density microelectronic packages.I suggest a review of the Flexible Thinking column,p 70,December 2000 CircuiTree-authored by Joe Fjelstad.It summarizes key events and patents in 2000(see www.circuitree.com)
