Best way to place a leader onto cut tape? -- All, What are the current industry options for putting leaders on cut tape? In our NPI practices, we're often sent parts directly from the customer in the form of cut tape in an exact needed quantity. As you can imagine, this is a pain in getting on a feeder without losing a part that you later have to hand place. What are the best options? I've explored the TS-100 from V-TEK which is a little pricey, and the Smart Splice LLC option of just using double sided carrier tape extenders. Leaning towards the simplistic option of using carrier tape extenders, but want to hear other thoughts. Thank you!

Thru Hole - Manual Soldering -- Hello, Currently having some solderability issues with some thru hole soldering of various components. Fuse Holders, LED's, Connectors etc etc... Normally no issues at all. So far i've tried baking the boards, calibration of soldering irons etc but see no improvement - not really used to having to manually solder parts so am at a bit of a loss at the moment trying to work it out. Only noticebale thing I can see at the moment is compared to normal the Eng finish appears more tin in colour than gold? Thanks for an help, input in advance
