█ Printed Circuit Board Assembly & PCB Design Forum

RJ45 location pins and 2 sided assembly problem -- Hello ! Please offer some clever solution for the following problem 2 sided assembly. The side which must be assembled first has 2 SMD RJ45 connectors. They have plastic location pins. Which protrude tru the board, about 0.4mm So, when I want to assemble second side, the protrusion disturb stencil. I cannot make cutout, first -- its not enough, protrusion is thicker than stencil and second, there are components under RJ45 on bottom side. For the prototype I cut the protrusions off but its not a good solution for serial production. Help :)

Matte PCB & Gloss PCB -- Hi, I am facing tiny solder ball issue and flux stain all around the PCB. For info this is my first time run the PCB with matte finishing. I don't have any issue with the glossy finish PCB. For more info I use all the same setting between gloss and matte PCB such as reflow profile and solder type. My question: Is the matte finishing PCB induce to have solder ball and flux stain? if yes how to control this? do I need to change reflow profile or use different type of solder paste?
