Electronics Forum | Sun Dec 11 22:39:36 EST 2016 | ppcbs

We have been using the Amtech line for over 12 years now with all of our PCB and BGA Rework. The NWS-4400 is mildly active and will give better results with Lead Free Solder. Note that the LF-4300 is considered a No-Clean. However it will show lea

We've seen the same thing - leads of QFPs not as strong as we'd like them to be. In the past 4 years no problem, this Spring they start failing. Touch a solder iron to it and it solders fine. After crunching some data, we found that both QFPs fail

Comments [questions] are: * Its strange that an uggie ol SOIC, 50 pitch, BIG honkin solder pad, kinda thang is failing. Sumpin aint kosher, yano? * Where is the failure occurring [ie, lead to pad, pad to board, etc]? Talk about the breadth and di
