Im not clear on the problem. What I get: * Your fabricator did not deliver the product that you asked for in your purchase order. * Pad. Land. A portion of a conductive pattern used as a termination area. Metal surrounding a hole on a printed ci

Dear all, My customer is asking me to add chevron solder mask registration marks to their board design, drive fabrication capability study from their board vendor(s), and make sure tolerances are established correctly for copper traces and solder mas

Carol You're asking a helluva lot if you heat a PCB to 300C and probably more in such an uncontrolled process. I'm surprised it is not irreparably damaged or, at least, discoloured. I don't think any solder mask is designed for this temperature. W

Board fabricators purchase laminate in preferred panel sizes, such as: 16 x 18 inches, 18 x 24 inches, and 21 x 24 inches. A larger panel size provides more effective cost per unit area processed. In producing a board, the fabricator requires maybe 3

Boca, Dave Sorry, but I cannot let this go. I'll go along with you that, at the time that the Montreal Protocol was initially signed (September 1987), there was no scientific proof that CFCs etc. were causing ozone depletion. There was, however, ve

The size of the pad changes among the two. A solder mask defined pad will always be larger than a copper defined by your mask expansion setting. This will affect paste volume, if your standard paste aperture is designed for copper defined pads you m

You say that there is no green solder mask around the lands of the BGA only silk screen. If that is the case I would be concerned about the solderabilty of the component if the silk screen gets onto the pads. The application of solder mask is much mo

Hello, can someone share good practise how to calculate how many percent solder paste can be applied on solder mask for better solderability (by increasing stencil aperture). In eg, aperture is increased 30 percent, could it be more? Where find this

Overprinting until the solder paste start detaching from the joint and start forming solder balls. Based on finish, chemistry and type solder mask this number will be different.I also wouldn't call it "better solderability".
