Sorry, I forgot to include the stencil thickness. It is 5 mil. Thanks for the input, everbody. I just checked with our stencil supplier & I thought that Electro-polish was standard with lazer, but I now find out it is not. Our stencil did not get

Have you tried to polish the flex with an ESD camel hair brush? The residual films - are they organic, left over from the water? Maybe try some TSP - tri-sodium phosphate, it's a mildly caustic detergent. A thorough rinse would be needed after using

If you are lucky, you might be able to chip the solder off the fingers with an Exacto knife and then polish it up with a pink eraser. This does work if the solder on the fingers isn't wetted very well. Russ
