The 4796 always has at least one program loaded in memory. The 4796 talks to the world over a serial port, so you will need some version of UCT. I used windows NT machines and the code worked fine. The component database is standalone, in binary,

I am building a double sided SMT board. On the first side I have a 405 ball BGA. When we build and run the second side through our reflow oven on about 25% of the boards run the 405 ball BGA on the underside of the board has fallen off. About 80% of

Dave, that's good thread, but I think Mike is more concerned with the Titanium inserts that pallet manufacturers often use to overcome sh*tty designs - like the ones where they put a Through-hole 2mm away from a SMT pad. He's not so concerned about t

Both questions will depend upon the IC specifications. Check the manufacturers recommendations for temperature specification, as well as reflow profiling. As a general rule, we don't like to rework a component more than 2 times after initial reflow

Thanks davef. Your comments are well taken. How about the trays transporting boards from one station to another or staging at WIP Kanban? Its easy enough to segregate rework stations and tools. Trays are used thru out the plant without segregation
