Hi everyone, can you tel me on how to compute (mathematically)the inductance of transformer having having gap core. what i know is inductance for ungapped core L = Al value of core x square the no. of turns how about for gapped core

Hi AJ, I have never used the Pulsar, but have seen it. I worry about it clogging all the time. Also being "hand held" over a hot pot wories me too. Look for something automated. My $0.02 and only an opinion.

You can do that if you have enough feeder space....but i doubt it unless you have a lot of machines in line.

Make sure the pulleys on the motor and lead screw have not come loose. Look for damaged encoder wires in the cable way. If all of this mechanical stuff checks out then you probably have a bad encoder. Jerry

In the past we have used immersion tin as an alternative for HASL. Our biggest problem was shelf life. The tin oxidized very rapidly. We switched to immersion gold and have had great success.

When we have warpage issues we use Titanium Panel Stiffeners even though the stiffeners are mainly used for Wave we find little issue for reflow. Mind you the boards have to be large enough.

Not to turn this into a used equipment war but I have a Heller 1088 4 zone i could sell for $4K in a month or so. We just got in a new BTU Pyramax98 and will soon have no use for the Heller....

you can either use an alloy that has a higher copper content to reduce dissolution or the better option is to have a Nickel plating barrier. both have there problems. Bu remember the dissolution of copper by tin carries on at a slower rate a ambiant
