Ted, We've tried using dispensing systems but without success. We either use stencils or bump the pads with solder. Stencils are messy and time consuming, but seem to be the best thing going. Jeff Ferry Circuit Technology Center

I don't know if you have tried this but... What if after removing the bad connector, while the holes are still molten you insert the new one right into the holes? This is the way we do it, and it seems to work Good luck

I had parts replaced on SMT PWBs and the repair created measling defects. Reliability Question: Q1. Can measling be aggrevated or grow over time due to temperature cycling and moisture. Customer environment is -62C to +85C. Thank you Doug Hotal
