Have you tried doing a short diagnostic test? That will check the repeatability and backlash of the axis. Did you use the C-tool when calibrating the camera?

If you have surface mount on the bottom, you can place openings between any thru-hole parts that constantly short. Your adhesive is a natural solder block!

Maybe, but distance between Tantalum capacitor and BGA is about 1cm. Also how evaporation can affect on the BGA balls and can be cause of short?
