So far this is what I found and have not had any problems since. There was a big chunk of the belt torn halfway off and I had to cut part of it. Also there was a connector loose on one of the boards. Thanks for all of your advice.

Who is your stencil vendor? I'd ask them if they have any standard guidelines. That's what I did. I took their standard design guidelines, made them mine and have been making additions and changes since.

Here's an easy one. Make a camera that looks up at the board a non-mirror image. You could keep the mirror image toward the stencil since stencils rarely have any legend on em.

Regarding the issue of using a pick-up offset: I really can't see any benefit to this if the pockets in the tape are too large, since this means that you cannot be sure that the components always end up in the same position when the feeder indexes.
