MPM SPM Camera

Electronics Forum | Wed Aug 17 10:46:48 EDT 2005 | pjc

MPM did not discontinue the camera, the camera manufacturer did. Its not a custom made camera for MPM. Try searching used or second-source cameras. There are three types of vision systems offered on the SPM: manual cross-hair, semi-auto and high-res

Spray Fluxers

Electronics Forum | Thu Aug 18 23:08:03 EDT 2005 | donb

G'day all, Does anyone have a SonoFlux 2000F fixed head spray fluxer? If so, can you please give me feedback on the quality of flux coverage and topside fillets as compared to a reciprocating head system. We are in a position where we need to spen

delamination test

Electronics Forum | Fri Sep 02 15:21:34 EDT 2005 | pr

Do you have a cube down the hall from me? I think it's already been forgotten, but when blindsided by these requests one has to do SOMETHING! I blasted one in reflow and did a 7 second solder bath dip with another and took pictures, nobody has asked

High Mix/Low Volume Part Kitting

Electronics Forum | Wed Aug 24 10:53:37 EDT 2005 | PWH

Thanks for the input. Currently we have the advantage of having almost all SMT operators trained in advanced programming so we are able to make changes easily to feeders, etc. Many of the things you mention we do at this time so it's funny to see t

Electronics Forum | Wed Aug 24 21:57:45 EDT 2005 | adeline_ko

The blistering is around the plugging via. I can forward you the pic. For the plugging process, I'm not too sure how they plug. What is the correct practise for the plugging via. Now, what they did is. They will do a tenting process for both side.

High temp grease needed

Electronics Forum | Tue Aug 23 14:23:00 EDT 2005 | pjc

Stencil Cleaning / Zestron / Vigon

Electronics Forum | Thu Aug 25 13:06:45 EDT 2005 | carln

I evaluated a couple of the Vigon products by Zestron last year and I think the SC200 was one of them. They seemed to clean OK, and Zestron said they were biodegradable, but they conveniently failed to disclose that they contained VOCs. If you are

REFLOW PROFILE NEED HELP

Electronics Forum | Wed Aug 24 12:25:52 EDT 2005 | bman

We've been down this road before, and it doesn't have to be as expensive as it would seem. First, ask your board supplier for a solder sample of the board. They are likely to have a scrap board that you can use for your profiling. As for the BGA(s

ISO14001

Electronics Forum | Thu Aug 25 15:55:11 EDT 2005 | pjc

I believe you'll need to have fume extractors for wave and oven to clean the exhaust: http://www.solderfume.co.uk/index.html http://www.allerair.com/air-purifiers/candi.html http://www.impell.com/main/index.cfm I believe its state regulated as fa

Immersion gold and BGAs

Electronics Forum | Fri Aug 26 09:57:21 EDT 2005 | russ

The Immersion gold is not a problem with BGAs specifically but "black pad" which can be present anywhere. The unfortunate thing with BGAs is you cannot see it. Personally I hate white tin. It is okay for single sided boards running no-clean, but c
