The Board-Lok Instant Fixture System is a patent pending cartridge style carrier, which enables finely spaced pin support nests to be created in minutes, off-line from the in-line printer. The reusable system benefits include shorter line interruptions for tooling setup, and lower overall tooling costs.
The IFS is the first system to utilize an innovative setup station and lightweight construction (carrier = 6 lbs for a 8 inch by 12 inch PC board area) which allows the fixture to be inverted over the PC board for pin selection and setup. 50 selectable pin sites per square inch. A mylar memory kit option enables the user to store and lock in the pin placement positions, enabling exact duplication of pin support arrangements which eliminates variability across manufacturing lines producing the same product. The minimum pin to pin spacing is 0.13" which enables intricate nests to be created to support densely populated assemblies.
The IFS systems are drop-in ready for use, and are available for several popular in-line printing systems.
