Register by February 24 to Receive a Reduced Rate for the SEMA and SMTA Solar Manufacturing and Reliability Conference Program

Feb 22, 2012

The Solar Engineering & Manufacturing Association (SEMA) and SMTA announce a reduced cost for those that register by Friday, February 24, 2012 for the Solar Manufacturing & Reliability Conference program, which is taking place March 22-23, 2012 at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose, CA. The program will consist of presentations and discussions covering the reliability testing of PV Modules covering gaps and where future work needs to be done. It will highlight various reliability programs being done in the industry with an assessment of current and evolving standards in manufacturing and reliability. This will include the work of the PV Module QA Forum Task Force groups who will submit their recommendations to the various IEC and other international standard groups.

Sessions will cover inverter and microinverter reliability/Balance of Systems (BoS) and future trends. Module manufacturing and general manufacturing issues will be discussed together with a review of the global solar outlook. Areas of concerns will be discussed for modules that include general module hazardous issues and module warranties.

Two half-day workshops, “A Review of PV Standards Including UL1703 and IEC61215” and “Manufacturing Technology and Troubleshooting PV Manufacturing,” are scheduled for Wednesday, March 21.

A two-day exhibition will accompany the conference on March 22 and 23, 2012. Exhibitor booth registration is open and sponsorship opportunities are still available for this event.

The conference is supported by the IPVEA. Visit http://www.smta.org/solar/ for more information or contact Mathew Holzmann at matt.holzmann@solar-ema.org or Jasbir Bath at jasbir.bath@solar-ema.org
